The feel of riding and durability are two decisive factors when designing seals for forks in motorcycles and bicycles. Especially in off-road applications, such as enduro or motocross, the requirements on the sealing are very demanding. SKF has developed a range of seals with this in mind. Solutions are available for both off-road and on highway use. For motorcycles, the seals come in pairs with a separate oil seal and dirt wiper seal tuned to each other to give low friction for the best riding experience, as well as long life. The Mastodon is not a modified or repurposed trail fork compatible with large tire dimensions, but rather it is a fatbike fork made to improve any ride regardless of how low or high the numbers on the thermometer read. To create such a dynamic fork required all-environment and all-temperature performance testing that took the R+D staff to some of the most inhospitable testing environments in the world. To earn its place within the Manitou family, the Mastodon passed performance and reliability testing in both real world and lab scenarios at temperatures as low as -40 degrees. The Dorado Air, seals, lubricants, and all other internals are proven for all-weather performance, no matter how extreme on either end of the temperature spectrum. The Mastodon is available out of the box in 120mm and 100mm configurations. All options are internally adjustable by the rider in 10mm increments with COMP being internally adjustable from 80mm to 140mm.

Changing the volume spacers in your fork is an easy internal adjustment that allows you to change the amount of mid-stroke and bottom out resistance. With this you can dial in your Fox Float fork's air volume to suit your riding style.

The FOX 40 Mud Guard fits the following forks: - FOX 40 Factory (2021 and newer) If you aren't sure if the Mud Guard will fit, check if your fork has bleeder valve mounts on the backside of each lower leg.
